Implants and crowns to redesign his smile. The real magic is in the soft tissue. We managed to maintain lovely tissue contour with extractions, immediate placements and an immediate loaded bridge. The frenectomy was crucial here.

Taking the time to do some tissue conditioning and pontic site development makes a huge difference. Two immediate implants here that healed beautifully but the magic happened at the temporary bridge fit. A small split thickness flap exposing the connective tissue and pushing the keratinised tissue buccally makes a lovely pontic site and much better tissue contour for the final bridge.

Had a great time mentoring this tricky full arch case with a good friend. Pre-op planning is crucial. Local anaesthetic plan, order of extractions, surgical guide placement, incision lines etc. This case had a lot including removal of failed implants, a lateral access sinus graft on the right hand side and placement of 6 new implants. One of early cases but loads to learn from. A large frenum attachment can result in significant recession on healing. For this case we did a frenectomy, internally removing the muscle attachement and releasing the tension on the tissue.
